In keeping with their promise to help the less privileged people in the state, the Abia state government in line with its transformation in the education sector has made a major move.
The government has approved the reduction of school fees being paid in the state owned university. This is to help poor and encourage indigenes of the state to get quality education.
According to Comrade Bonnie Iwuoha, the Abia state commissioner for information, the executive council of the state has given approval for a reduction of 10,000 Naira in the school fees payable by Abia state indigenes in the Abia state University, Uturu.
